Position Summary: The primary focus for a Back of House Shift Manager is to assist the Kitchen Manager with day-to-day operations including opening and closing duties, sanitation and organization, inventory, food quality, productivity, professionalism and complete mindblasting experience for guests. Must have comfort and experience coaching and cooking; a huge plus if you're bilingual in Spanish.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide feedback and coaching to the back of house team, ensuring that standards are met and policies enforced
  • Create and maintain checklists and cleaning systems for kitchen, storage areas, the walkins and the dishpit
  • Collaborate to alleviate staffing and scheduling issues as they arise, including stepping into roles to fill a gap, when needed
  • Provide direct leadership - particularly during peak hours of shift
  • Ordering in a way that controls costs and waste
  • Train new and existing staff on updated processes, procedures, standards, etc,

Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a restaurant environment or customer service related field is required
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, e.g., dress code, punctuality, and professional attitude
  • Provide customers with MINDBLASTING hospitality
  • Be a reliable and supportive team player
