Line Cook – Royal Biryani House (Indian Cuisine)

Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, enjoys working with precision, loves collaborating with a tight-knit team, and takes pride in serving top-quality dishes? Join the team at Royal Biryani House, where we specialize in authentic Indian flavors — including our signature Hyderabadi biryani — and are looking for a motivated Line Cook to help keep our kitchen running smoothly.

If you have prior line cook or food service experience especially in Indian or other ethnic kitchens, great! If not — we’re still very interested in trainable candidates with the right attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail, following Royal Biryani House’s standards for Indian cuisine and presentation

  • Ensure each dish meets our quality, portion, and presentation expectations

  • Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and properly-stocked workstation, including prep, line and finishing stations

  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and health-code regulations at all times

  • Assist with prep work: chopping, portioning, marinating, rice preparation, spice blends, inventory rotation, and receiving deliveries as needed

  • Communicate clearly with kitchen teammates and front-of-house staff to coordinate efficient service during high-volume shifts

  • Stay calm, efficient, and collaborative during peak service periods; be a team player who jumps in wherever needed

What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen is preferred — experience with Indian cuisine, spice-rich dishes, rice-based cooking is a plus

  • Strong knife skills and familiarity with a variety of cooking methods (grilling, sautéing, deep-frying, rice dishes) and kitchen equipment

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, follow directions precisely, and multitask in a dynamic environment

  • Excellent time-management skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, quality, and consistency

  • Dependable and punctual with a team-oriented mindset

  • Willingness to learn Indian culinary techniques, spice blends, and dish assembly if not already experienced

Why You’ll Love Working Here
  • A fast-paced, supportive kitchen environment where you can learn and grow

  • Competitive pay based on experience plus opportunities for advancement

  • Flexible scheduling to support your lifestyle and ambitions

  • Employee meals or discounts during shifts

  • A chance to work with authentic Indian flavors, learn traditional techniques, and build your culinary resume
