As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Bear Lake PT Clinic, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations, taking into account patients' medical histories and performing specific assessments to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Effectively communicating assessment findings and treatment objectives to patients and their families, fostering their involvement in goal setting and recovery planning.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient's individual needs and progress.
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and professional communication regarding the patient’s condition.
• Monitoring and documenting changes in patient health status, adjusting treatment plans proactively as necessary.
• Preparing detailed discharge plans to promote continuity of care and successfully transition patients back to their daily lives.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including evaluation notes, treatment plans, and progress summaries.
• Managing your schedule effectively to meet productivity expectations while contributing to department goals and initiatives.
• Participating in outreach and community engagement efforts to help remove barriers to access for our patients.
• Pursuing continuing education opportunities to enhance personal and organizational growth, and serving as a mentor for students or new staff.

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, with a preference for those holding a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR) from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

While prior experience is not required, candidates with clinical experience, particularly in orthopedic settings, will be highly regarded. Any additional certifications or specialized training relevant to physical therapy and rehabilitation will enhance your application.
