As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for a variety of crucial tasks, including but not limited to:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients to establish their functional limitations and disabilities.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans aimed at helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation of all evaluations, treatments, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
• Providing valuable consultation to healthcare providers regarding each patient’s continuum of care.
• Regularly communicating with interdisciplinary treatment teams, ensuring coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Supervising assigned support staff, managing resources efficiently to optimize departmental performance.
• Participating in community outreach programs and initiatives designed to promote wellness and health education.

You will engage with a diverse patient population, primarily those with orthopedic issues, including but not limited to post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your ability to interact with patients from various backgrounds, ages, and cultures is essential in providing personalized care that respects each individual’s needs.

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Proficiency in word processing and the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems.

While not mandatory, prior experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting and familiarity with evidence-based practices in physical therapy can enhance the applicant's candidacy. Experience in community outreach and program development is also advantageous.
