Position Overview
The IV Certified Pharmacy Technician (Sterile & Non‐Sterile Compounding) supports pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and verifying compounded medications in compliance with USP <797>, USP <795>, and USP <800> standards.
The ideal candidate has cleanroom or compounding experience and a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile and non‐sterile compounded medications using proper aseptic technique and safety protocols.
- Assist pharmacists in IV preparation and compounding processes.
- Maintain strict compliance with USP <795>, USP <797>, and USP <800> regulations.
- Support cleanroom and non‐sterile lab operations, including cleaning, environmental monitoring, and documentation.
- Ensure accurate labeling, packaging, and recordkeeping for all compounded products.
- Oversee inventory of compounding materials and supplies.
- Maintain workflow efficiency to support timely, personalized patient care.
Required Qualifications
- IV Certification required.
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license/registration in good standing.
- Experience in sterile and/or non‐sterile compounding preferred.
- Strong understanding of USP <795>, USP <797>, and USP <800> standards.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and patient safety practices.
