Independent Contractor Shippers are individuals or businesses that transport goods for clients without being employed by a single company. They operate under contract, often using their own vehicles, and are responsible for managing their schedules, routes, and expenses. This role requires knowledge of shipping regulations, logistics, and often involves working with multiple clients. It offers flexibility and the potential for higher earnings, but also requires self-management and handling of taxes and insurance.

To thrive as an Independent Contractor in Shipping, you need a valid driver’s license, knowledge of shipping regulations, and experience in logistics or delivery services. Familiarity with route optimization apps, GPS navigation systems, and electronic proof-of-delivery tools is typically required.
