Job Summary
School Bus Drivers are responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and related activities. Drivers pick up and drop off students at designated stops such as homes or street corners, ensuring safety and timeliness.
No experience is necessary to become a school bus driver! Harlow's School Bus Service is willing and able to assist with expert training and guidance to help you become a safe and professional school bus driver.

School Bus Driver benefits:
  • Hourly Rate: $26- $29.25 per hour
  • Pay Details: Dependent on experience and qualifications
  • Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) and Commercial Driver's License (CDL) training provided!

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport students while following all traffic laws and school district regulations.
  • Operate the bus in various weather and traffic conditions with courtesy and caution.
  • Communicate bus safety and behavior expectations to students and address issues as needed.
  • Interact with parents and school staff to support positive student behavior.
  • Assist students with boarding, including those needing wheelchairs or adaptive support.
  • Conduct daily bus inspections and perform basic maintenance (fuel, fluids, tire checks, cleaning).
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports.
  • Operate a two-way radio and follow assigned routes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Ability to pass a DOT medical exam and drug/alcohol testing.
  • Ability to pass background check.
  • Are at least 21 years old
  • Have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years
