Property Maintenance Technician – HVAC (EPA Type II Certified) & Generalist

Operations - Katy, TX

Are you an experienced Property Maintenance Technician with EPA Type II certification (HVAC) who loves to help keep nice homes in great condition for wonderful families?  Do you have basic knowledge of dry-wall repair, carpentry, painting, electrical systems, landscaping, and irrigation systems?

Faircroft is a premier home builder and residential property management company based in Katy, TX. We are seeking a highly motivated Property Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team. This person will support day-to-day maintenance tasks, ensuring our properties are kept in excellent condition.  
This is a 40 hour per week job with full benefits. Every day begins and ends here in our Katy headquarters, where we plan together as a team for how best to take care of today’s and tomorrow’s projects.  
A company vehicle will be provided for regular travel to our properties. The ability to work a flexible schedule may be required at times. This person is expected to be on call on a rotational basis for emergency service requests, and will receive a weekly stipend for this, along with overtime pay for hours over 40 worked in a given week. A valid Texas driver's license is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform minor repairs, including patching drywall, painting, basic plumbing, and fixture replacements 
  • Assist with preventative maintenance tasks across all properties 
  • Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptly 
  • Assemble furniture, install shelves, and perform other general labor as needed 
  • Perform basic landscaping tasks and assist with irrigation maintenance as needed 
  • Respond to work orders in a timely and efficient manner 
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition 
  • Support skilled technicians or contractors when needed 
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment 

 
Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Valid Texas Driver's License with good driving history 
  • EPA Type II certification
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools 
  • Electricity, landscaping, or irrigation system knowledge is a plus 
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently 
  • Good communication and teamwork skills 
  • Ability to perform tasks that may require standing, bending, kneeling, or climbing ladders for extended periods of time in various environments 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, at times
