Job description

Head of Field Marketing and Events, Gen AI

At Scale, we believe that AI will dramatically improve the world, and our mission is to accelerate the development of AI. We’re looking for a Field Marketing and Events leader to continue to build and manage Scale’s robust Gen AI and Research field marketing and events program, including hosted executive events, practitioner meetups, research conferences, and our annual flagship conference, AI Leadership Summit.

Responsibilities include owning annual planning for all Gen AI and Research events, establishing event activities aligned with sales goals, managing a team of event managers, handling contractor relationships, aligning with growth marketing on campaigns, tracking event performance, managing Scale hosted conference logistics, supporting AI Leadership Summit content, interfacing with external executives for sponsorship, and traveling up to 50%.

  • Own annual planning for all Gen AI and Research events, strategy and budget
  • Establish event activities in line with sales goals and deal acceleration
  • Manage team of field marketing and events managers, executing planning and logistics
  • Manage contractor relationships, event production firms, and vendors, and budgets
  • Align with growth marketing on campaign and qualified lead reporting
  • Track event campaign performance, measure ROI and adjust low‑performing events
  • Own all aspects of Scale hosted conference, including venue, vendor management, logistics, speaker invites, and agenda
  • Support Gen AI portion of AI Leadership Summit conference content and experience
  • Interface with external executives to secure speakers and support presentation planning
  • Travel up to 50% for in‑person events

Ideally you'd have:

  • 12+ years experience in field and event marketing
  • Experience fully managing events ranging from 30 to 5,000+ attendees
  • Ability to multi‑task and liaise across internal teams with multiple stakeholders
  • Impeccable attention to detail and proactive troubleshooting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with marketing and sales CRMs including HubSpot, Salesforce, and Outreach
  • Collaborative and positive attitude, working across teams and time zones

Compensation and Benefits: Base salary range $189,600 – $237,000 USD. Benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, generous PTO, and a commuter stipend. Equity compensation may be granted upon approval.

Pay Transparency: base salary range for full‑time positions in San Francisco, New York, and Seattle is $189,600 – $237,000 USD.
