  • Prepare for each deposition by reviewing relevant pleadings, discovery, documents, and case materials.
  • Advise and communicate effectively with clients before and during depositions.
  • Make appropriate objections and preserve the client's legal rights and defenses.
  • Ensure deposition proceedings are conducted professionally and in accordance with applicable rules and procedures.

  • Provide timely updates and required documentation following each deposition.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all applicable ethical and professional obligations.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Prior litigation and deposition experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure and deposition practice.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work independently.
  • Strong preparation, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to accept assignments on a flexible, as-needed basis.

Independent Contractor Arrangement

This position is structured as an independent contractor opportunity. Attorneys will be engaged on a case-by-case or assignment basis and will be responsible for maintaining their own professional licensing, insurance, taxes, and other requirements applicable to independent legal practice.

Compensation: Competitive per-deposition or assignment-based compensation, depending on the matter and scope of services.
