Property Manager – Hampton Roads, VA

About the Role:
We manage a growing portfolio of residential properties (single-family, multi-unit, and mixed-use) in the Hampton Roads / Chesapeake / Virginia Beach region. We’re seeking an experienced, full-time in-house Property Manager to oversee leasing, maintenance, tenant relations, budgets, and compliance for our properties.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee tenant acquisition, leasing, move-ins/outs, and inspections.

• Supervise maintenance staff and vendor relationships.

• Handle rent collection, delinquency management, and budget tracking.

• Ensure compliance with Virginia landlord-tenant laws and local regulations.

• Prepare monthly performance and financial reports for ownership.

• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for ongoing property improvements.

• Lead and mentor the Assistant Property Manager and support staff.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of property management experience (preferably in Hampton Roads region).

• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

• Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Buildium, AppFolio, RentRedi).

• Knowledge of Virginia landlord-tenant law and local housing codes.

• Valid driver’s license; real estate license preferred but not required.

Compensation:

• Base salary: $55,000–$70,000 per year (depending on experience and portfolio size).
• Performance bonus tied to rent collection and occupancy targets.

Assistant Property Manager – Hampton Roads, VA

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Property Manager to support our Property Manager in daily operations. This role involves tenant communication, maintenance scheduling, rent processing, administrative support, and coordination across multiple properties in the Hampton Roads region.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with tenant communication and maintenance coordination.

• Support leasing, move-in/move-out scheduling, and inspections.

• Process rent payments and assist with collections when needed.

• Prepare invoices, assist with vendor management, and maintain organized records.

• Generate and update property reports as requested by management.

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of property management or administrative experience.

• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or property management software.

• Ability to handle tenant concerns and maintain professional relationships.

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team setting.

Compensation:

• Hourly rate: $20–$25/hour or annual equivalent of $40,000–$55000 Plus bonus
