Trade Marketing Coordinator
Location: Hybrid in Mebane, NC
Base Salary Rate: $75,380 - $87,800 per year
Job type: Full-time position
*This role is based at the office in Mebane, NC.
About This Role
As a Trade Marketing Coordinator for Kidde, you will support the integrated demand marketing team in strategic planning, execution of marketing initiatives, and the management of promotional activities across various sub-channels. As the captain of the channel/trade team planogramming, this individual will lead the development of account specific planograms with the support of the trade, sales, and product teams. This individual will also support the team in the execution of briefs and development of collateral and presentations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain planogram database, distribute schematics, and coordinate updates for team to optimize product placement, improve category flow, and maximize sales performance while ensuring alignment with Kidde and retailer strategies
  • Partner with Sr. Managers to provide strategic and tactical recommendations both online and in-store on product placement, distribution, planogramming, and merchandising to improve category performance
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Trade) to ensure the successful introduction of new products within retail channels. This includes defining channel-specific launch strategies, developing sell-in materials, and coordinating promotional activation
  • Collaborate with Trade, Brand, Product, and Creative+Design on the development of marketing collateral and presentations to support updates and critical communication to the field
  • Support Sr. Manager with national and account level promotions, ensuring accurate execution across channels
  • Coordinate brand, media, and product initiatives with customers, including displays, signage, and packaging
  • Assist with promotional and customer event calendar management
  • Be the voice of the customer with internal teams

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in trade / channel management
  • 3+ years of experience in planning and executing planograms, promotions, and customer specific projects, including product line reviews and new product introductions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business
  • Trade / channel management experience in home improvement retail, club, big box, and e-commerce distribution channels
  • Planogram development and space planning experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional partners as well as the customer
  • Self-sufficient detail-oriented multi-tasker who can manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in selling and/or marketing safety or building products categories
