Job description

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks IT Project Management Senior Manager for the Bloomfield, CT location responsible for driving coordinated Agile delivery across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within a defined solution train.

Responsibilities:

Ensure alignment between delivery teams and enterprise strategy through lean-agile practices, financial governance, and stakeholder collaboration.

Lead and facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning, execution, and delivery across multiple ARTs in alignment with SAFe practices.

Identify, manage, and resolve cross-team dependencies, delivery risks, and critical escalations.

Coach Agile Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Scrum Masters, and Product Managers in lean-agile principles and continuous delivery practices.

Provide program level visibility using enterprise agile management tools (e.g. Jira, Rally, SharePoint) and report on delivery progress, impediments, and metrics.

Drive continuous improvement via inspect & adapt sessions and team retrospectives.

Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Portfolio Management, and Business Owners to ensure delivery of prioritized business outcomes.

Oversee program financials, including forecasting, budgeting, capacity planning and variance analysis to support Lean Portfolio Management.

Ensure program execution aligns with enterprise governance, compliance standards, and performance metrics.

Hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field and 5 years of experience in any IT role.

Must have experience with: Leading agile delivery at the program or solution level using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), SCRUM, Lean Thinking, and Systems Thinking;

Managing cross team dependencies and delivery risks across multiple teams and agile release trains;

Facilitating various Program, Solution, and Agile Release Train level ceremonies such as PI Planning, Solution Demos, Inspect & Adapt, Pre- and Post-PI Planning, Solution Train Syncs, ART Syncs, and Architecture Syncs;

Coaching Release Train Engineers, Scrum Masters, or Product Managers to increase delivery performance and Agile maturity;

Agile modeling practices including Kanban;

Project management tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Rally;

Overseeing program financials in a Lean Portfolio or Agile program context including Budgeting, Forecasting, Capacity Planning, and Variance Reporting; and

Partnering with senior business and technology stakeholders to align program execution with strategic goals.
