Job description

Sparks Group has partnered with a leading aviation parts and inventory company seeking detail-oriented Aviation Quality Inspectors to join their growing team. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and compliance of aviation parts and documentation throughout the receiving and shipping process. Depending on business needs, inspectors may support inbound inspections of incoming materials, outbound inspections of customer orders, or both. This is a hands-on position working in an outdoor environment where attention to detail and accuracy are critical. Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed visual inspections of incoming and outgoing aviation parts and materials.
  • Verify parts, quantities, and supporting documentation against purchase orders, sales orders, repair orders, and internal quality requirements.
  • Review release documentation, certifications, and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify discrepancies, omissions, damaged materials, or non-conforming products and escalate issues as needed.
  • Inspect physical condition, labeling, and documentation prior to inventory acceptance or shipment.
  • Accurately enter, verify, and validate inspection data within company databases and systems.
  • Issue material certifications when required.
  • Follow Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling procedures when inspecting applicable materials.
  • Partner with the Quality Assurance team to support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform additional quality and operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience processing or handling aviation surplus parts is required.
  • Previous experience in quality inspection, receiving, shipping, warehouse operations, or a related aviation environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO, AS, or similar quality management standards is a plus.
  • Experience reviewing aviation documentation and release paperwork is highly desirable.
