Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Account Specialist to join our growing billing team!

We value you! Candidates who complete a successful prescreen and interview will be eligible for a gift card at the end of their interview.

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, short/long term disability, 401k, PTO, life insurance, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and holiday pay.

Monday-Friday, 8AM - 5PM, no nights or weekends

100% REMOTE - after one month of hands-on training.

Prior experience in a medical/collections/customer service setting is preferred.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Work and maintain all collection accounts
  • Collaborate with current collection agency to ensure accurate turn overs and accounts sent back
  • Maintain all credit cards on file for patient payments
  • Serve as patient liaison for financial matters
  • Work patient cases for payment plans, bad debt, and deceased patients in a timely manner
  • Send monthly collection reports to Revenue Cycle Management Director.
  • Assist with the missed payment plan report, monthly
  • Follow up on rejected claims, assisting with patient billing questions.

  • Sustain excellent attendance and avoid excessive absences and/or tardiness
