Description
Fresh Direct is currently seeking an GOP Ambient Assistant in the New York area. The Inbound Associate Level 1 is responsible for picking and packing of product for customer orders in the Receiving department. This position provide consistent, accurate handling and recording of products received into the warehouse.
Responsibilities and Working Conditions:
  • Processing all inbound deliveries quickly and accurately, using computers, RF Scanning Guns, and motorized equipment to complete all required transactions
  • Scanning labels on packages, load packaging machines with boats, and label packages with printed labels
  • Spotting labels on packages, load packaging machines with boats, and label packages with printed labels
  • Applying knowledge of processes involved, production methods, and products to the nuances of everyday operation
  • Assisting in shut down procedures and special requirements
  • Must be able to pass motorized equipment certification within 1 month of starting work on dock
  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • In a workday: standing/walking 6-10 hours or more
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals, loud noises, flashing lights
  • Constant exposure to temperatures: <-10 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators)
  • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • Ability to work in other areas of the business as needed

Education and Qualifications:
Note: The hourly range for this role is from $17.00 to $17.00. Specific compensation for the role may vary based on many factors including but not limited to candidate experience, and skills.
