Shipping Coordinator / Customer Service Associate

A growing third-party logistics and warehousing operation is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator / Customer Service Associate to join their team in Brentwood, NY. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that supports the movement of goods across multiple customers and transportation partners. This role will split time between the office and warehouse, coordinating with internal teams, customers, and trucking companies to ensure inbound shipments are accurately received, processed, and communicated.

• Enter and verify inbound shipment information within the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Review receiving documentation and compare inbound receipts against packing lists
• Update customers regarding shipment discrepancies, shortages, damages, or delays
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email
• Coordinate inbound appointments with carriers and trucking companies
• Create and print product or shipment labels as needed
• Communicate with warehouse leadership regarding inbound deliveries outside expected timeframes
• Update billing and shipment-related charges within internal systems
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Collaborate with warehouse personnel and management to ensure smooth operations
• Perform additional administrative and customer support duties as assigned

Required:

• 3+ years of customer service experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience working within a logistics, transportation, warehousing, supply chain, or shipping environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

• Bilingual Spanish
• Order processing or order entry experience
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience

The right candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused with a strong work ethic. They must be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working independently, solving problems, and meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments are essential for success in this role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BRENTWOOD, NY.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
