Job description

The Outlets at San Clemente is a premier outlet shopping center that is easily accessible from the i-5 freeway off Avenida Vista Hermosa. The beautiful ocean views provide a gorgeous backdrop to the various events held at the Outlets.
We are currently hiring a Security Supervisor who will take initiative and ensure a safe and positive shopping experience for our employees and shoppers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Report directly to the Security Manager and assist in the day-to-day supervision and coordination of security operations.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all current security operations, site-specific policies, and emergency procedures.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to security staff; ensure proper conduct and professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the property, including checking post orders and ensuring coverage at all assigned posts.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies; provide leadership and decision-making in crisis situations.
  • Act as a liaison between site management, employees, visitors, and external agencies when necessary.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with store managers, tenants, and other stakeholders within the center.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports and review reports submitted by officers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments and management teams to support security initiatives and operational needs.
  • Display exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Perform special assignments or additional duties as directed by the Security Manager or General Manager.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in security, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of security operations, risk management, and emergency response procedures.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Valid Guard Card per state requirements.
