Overview

We're hiring skilled CNC Machinists for our precision machining and tooling facility in New Albany, IN.

Alongside the ultra-precise parts we're known for providing the machining industry, this site uniquely machines large-format dies for the extrusion industry, holding tight tolerances on 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes.

You'll run your own setups, in-process inspections, and program adjustments daily. This is work for machinists with the fundamentals down: setups, feeds and speeds, blueprints, and GD&T.

  • $27 - $35 / hr

Shift

  • 3rd shift: Monday - Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Responsibilities

  • Setups: Set up, operate, and maintain multiple CNC mills and lathes.
  • Blueprints: Interpret complex prints, GD&T specs, and work instructions.
  • Inspection: Verify tight tolerances with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
  • Program Adjustments: Dial in grinding cycles to keep processes on spec.
  • Tooling Maintenance: Maintain and resurface tooling used in your machines.
  • Troubleshooting: Solve complex problems, pulling in technical experts as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years CNC machining experience (milling, turning, and/or grinding)
  • Solid grasp of tooling, feeds, and speeds
  • Experience running machine setups
  • Reads engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience verifying tight tolerances with inspection tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred

  • Exposure to 4-axis or 5-axis machining
  • Aerospace, medical device, or defense background
  • Other precision manufacturing industry experience
