Job description

Caldwell Tanks is looking for a Project Weld Inspector in Vineland, New Jersey to join our team. This person will work closely with the QA Manager and Welding Engineer to assist Shops and Field operations. Inspects work in process of shop fabrication and field construction of metal products to ensure conformance with production drawings, internal Company criteria and applicable standards. This person will be based in New Jersey for a year long project with the opportunity to travel to other jobs after the initial year. The pay starts in the $50/hr range with competitive benefits and per diem.

  • Tracking/Mapping weld ID’s
  • Tracking/Mapping material ID’s
  • Perform job site inspections to evaluate welding and the company established acceptable criteria.
  • Weld Inspections – VT & PT
  • Coordinate with 3rd party X-Ray company
  • Track/Map RT locations & results
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a CWI , API 510 or API 653 Inspector, or AI in accordance with ASME Code Section VIII preferred. 
  • Experience with API Standard 620 Construction and Examination of LNG tanks and NDE is a plus.
