Description:

With high accuracy perform in-process and / or final inspection of manufactured medical implants and instrumentation in order to detect non-conforming product.

  • Perform inspection setups using the proper tooling and specialized equipment that may or may not be specified on a job setup sheet or job traveler. Examples: comparator setup, Zeiss profilometer setup, Rockwell setup.
  • Maintenance and proper operation of inspection equipment.
  • With high accuracy perform in-process and/or final inspection per customer specifications.
  • Specialize in specific inspection or statistical techniques that may or may not be required by the customer.
  • Perform customer shipment entry.
  • Perform proper handling and packaging of finished product and proper handling of product overages placed into inventory.
  • Knowledge and proper use of the entire quality system per training records.


Requirements:

1. Read and interpret blue prints.

2. Utilize inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, comparators, and CMM.

3. Quickly identify mistakes and inconsistencies in copy, graphics, length and diameter.

4. Verify piece counts.

5. Clearly communicate with manufacturing personnel to identify non-conforming product after the completion of the manufacturing process.

6. Clearly communicate with Director of Quality / Quality Group Leader regarding inspection criteria.
