Job description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for implementing quality control systems designed to ensure our products meet applicable industry quality standards. Quality Control Inspector responsibilities include making certain that the production and manufacturing processes are performed to meet quality standards, performing inspection of equipment and components at various stages of the production cycle, and maintaining ISO 9001 required documentation as well as regulatory listings and markings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Implement inspection criteria and procedures.
  • Maintain electronic records of inspection documentation as well as equipment and component certifications.
  • Investigate and correct customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
  • Develop statistical tracking of QC issues and implement process improvement procedures.
  • Provide technical expertise to teams.
  • Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability.
  • Performs final inspection on products and equipment when arriving and leaving the plant.
  • Provide inspection activity for production throughout production cycle.
  • Responsible for marking and applying regulatory labels as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with electrical wiring and fabrication in a manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL:

Physical Demands:

Activities: Sitting - 10% Walking/Standing - 90%

Lifting: Continuously lift up to 50 lbs.

Bending: Must be able to bend, squat, and climb.

Vision: Long periods of close work on small fonts and fine print on drawings

And ability to see small or detailed items.

Mental Demands: Interpret, analyze, research and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Environment: Shop/warehouse. Not climate controlled. Exposure to excessive heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration, hazards, dust and fumes.
