Job description

St. Michael-St. Gabriel, located on the west side of Indianapolis, is hiring a literacy coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The applicant would be interviewed by the school itself but must be approved by the Indiana Department of Education.
Key Responsibilities Included (but not limited to):
*Engage in observations, instructional modeling, and lesson planning with reading teachers
*Participate in ongoing professional learning throughout the contract period
*Complete all required documentation for the Literacy Cadre for the state
*Review data with reading teachers to improve instruction
Qualifications:
*Have at least a bachelor's degree
*Hold a valid, professional Indiana Teacher's License
*Have obtained the Early Literacy Endorsement by the state of Indiana
*Demonstrate an expertise in implementing evidence-based instructional practices grounded in the science of reading
*Demonstrate expertise in literacy coaching
*Have a minimum of five years of teaching experience
