Job description

Role Responsibilities
  • Lead and support full-cycle high-volume recruitment, including drafting job postings, proactively sourcing and engaging candidates, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, managing the applicant tracking system, partnering with external recruiters, and preparing offer letters.
  • Build, document, and continuously improve recruiting and onboarding workflows in a growing, environment with limited existing structure.
  • Identify gaps, propose solutions, and implement repeatable processes that improve efficiency, consistency, and candidate experience.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to gain buy-in for new processes, tools, and expectations.
  • Own and coordinate all aspects of new hire onboarding, including reference checks, new hire orientations, preparing documentation, and organizing communication materials to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing accurate information on policies, procedures, and HR guidelines.
  • Support the maintenance and administration of the HRIS, including data entry, auditing accuracy, processing employee changes, and assisting with system updates or enhancements.
  • Extract, analyze, and summarize HR metrics using HRIS reporting tools.
  • Assist with non-occupational disability case management, including tracking documentation and coordinating return-to-work updates.

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related disciplines.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Human Resources Associate/Coordinator role.
  • Minimum 2 years of high-volume recruitment experience with proven skills in outbound sourcing and interviewing.
  • Experience building or improving recruiting processes in a growing or evolving environment.
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to gain buy-in from hiring managers and drive adoption of new processes.
  • Comfort working in environments without established processes, with the ability to create structure and clarity.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicant tracking systems, and current recruitment best practices.
  • Exposure to disability claims management processes is an asset.
  • Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment is an asset.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong attention to email etiquette and professional correspondence.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • High degree of initiative with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities across multiple locations while adapting to a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
