Job description

The HR Generalist serves as a hands-on, local HR presence supporting multiple Regional HR Managers. This role focuses on employee relations support, time and attendance administration, onboarding coordination, local engagement efforts, and day-to-day HR execution. The Generalist operates from a regional office to maximize face-to-face interaction with employees and leaders, ensuring consistent, compliant, and people-centered HR support.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the local HR point of contact for employees and leaders, providing front-line support and guidance.
  • Support employee relations matters, including intake, documentation, coaching conversations, and escalation to Regional HR Managers as appropriate.
  • Assist with time and attendance issues, PTO inquiries, and basic payroll coordination.
  • Coordinate on onboarding logistics, background checks, orientation support, and first-day readiness.
  • Support disciplinary and corrective action processes by preparing documentation and tracking steps.
  • Assist with offboarding processes, including exit logistics and system notifications.
  • Administer and support employee understanding of benefits and leave programs, escalating complex cases as needed.
  • Serve as a culture and engagement liaison, supporting local events and recognition efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records and timely updates in HR systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Partner with Regional HR Managers to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience in a multi-location or high-volume environment preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound judgment and discretion.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Comfortable working in-office and serving as a visible HR presence.

Salary: $65,000
