Job description

Position Summary

The Program Manager, Family Services role manages the day-to-day operations of the Program. Supports the Executive Director, Family Services with operational objectives; ensuring the individualized needs of the youth and family support network are met through the development, implementation, and general oversight of all specialized services, provide effective leadership, coaching and development to Team Members.

Essential Job Duties

  • Support the Executive Director, Family Services, with operational objectives and implementation of policies and procedures,
  • Develop and maintain effective professional working relationships and partnerships with community organizations and leaders,
  • Recruit, orient, and provide ongoing training for Family Services Team Members,
  • Provide ongoing training for Team Members and monitor certifications to ensure compliance with established requirements,
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance and ongoing development of direct reports and their related teams and provide ongoing feedback and coaching,
  • Oversee referral system for eligibility, case assignment, and case tracking,
  • Ensure client confidentiality, safety, and client rights; Maintain HIPAA compliant records,
  • Review fidelity and audit reports and assist with development of action plans for areas needing improvement,
  • Monitor contracts and/or MOAs with partners,
  • Conduct client file quality reviews to validate compliance with contract requirements (e.g., assessments, service and treatment plans and referrals, etc.),
  • Prepare and submit Program reports as required by the established guidelines and any ad hoc requests,
  • Maintain professional relationship boundaries,
  • Assist with fundraising and development activities,
  • Attend internal and external meetings as requested/required,
  • Effectively implement AMIkids Way (Kids First, Safety, and Family) and key elements of Positive Youth Development (Relationships, Meaningful Participation, Community Involvement, and Challenged & Engaged Programming) and the AMIkids Personal Growth Model (PGM) in all interactions with youth and families,
  • Actively ensure all interactions reflect Kids First, Safety, Family, Relationships, Meaningful Participation, Challenge and Engaged environment and Community Involvement,
  • Interactions with youth shall maintain an environment that provides a physically/emotionally safe space for youth and effective learning, growth, and progress toward individualized goals,
  • Model supportive, consistent, respectful behavior with all parties to ensure an atmosphere that fosters healthy relationships, trust, and mutual respect; set clear boundaries and provide observations and reflection to youth,
  • Complete Functional Family Therapy (FFT) and/or Family Centric Model (FCM) certification and training within the required timelines,
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience

  • Masterโ€™s degree in human services field, licensed preferred,
  • Certification in applicable models for FFT and or FCM,
  • Three (3) yearsโ€™ experience in the field of mental health and/or Human Services,
  • One (1) year of management and administrative experience,
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical quality assurance processes,
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills,
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook),
  • Prior experience working with youth and families,
  • Flexibility to travel for business needs.
