The Position

Within the Mechanical Engineering department at Roche R&D Near Patient Care, you will help develop blood glucose meters, continuous glucose monitoring systems, and related application systems (e.g., test stands) for series production—all in accordance with relevant standards and regulatory guidelines.

  • You can provide demonstrated knowledge of parametric mechanical CAD design and FEM simulation independently across several projects; through this work, you can incorporate changes resulting from your investigations directly into the product design.

  • You will work closely with other departments and project teams, including operations and manufacturing. You will build the interface between the development and production teams, which is responsible for the development, construction and implementation of the production line.

  • You will collaborate with external partners such as injection molding suppliers is an additional aspect of your daily tasks.

  • You are knowledgeable in at least two of the following topics: plastic technology, sterile component design, manufacturing and automated assembly of plastic parts

  • You are characterized by the ability to work in a team, drive topics independently and self-motivated, have strong communication skills and search for solutions and not for problems. You want to make a difference, are flexible and always keep an open mind even in stressful situations.

Preferred:

  • You have an advanced degree (e.g. PhD) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or medical technology or a related field of study with 3+ years of experience.
