Job description

Flexjet is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our Operations team as an In-Flight Catering Coordinator at our state-of-the-art facility in Cleveland, Ohio. Overall, the In-Flight Catering Coordinator is responsible for handling the ordering in-fight catering and confirmation processes for our internal and external customers. This position works closely with several departments within Operations and plays an integral role in maintaining relationships with all of our vendors and flight crews across the network.
Responsibilities
  • Handle a high volume of in-person, telephone, and email correspondence from an extensive variety of Operations Control and external contacts.
  • Order and confirm all daily in-flight catering.
  • Communicate to flight crews, team members, and vendors related to items that may impact all catering services transactions.
  • Trouble-shoot potential service deviations because of flight schedule changes and proactively address to avoid disservice.
  • Placing last minute orders with vendors such as door dash or grub hub
  • Conduct various accounting related tasks including tracking, monitoring, and validating in-flight catering invoices and credit card transactions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of company products and programs.
  • Work closely with third party catering vendors to ensure expectations are met.
  • Possess the ability to interpret specific food and beverage industry and aviation catering information as it pertains to all daily tasks assigned.
  • Provide daily quality assurance of all in-flight catering related transactions.
  • Provide world-class service with every interaction held with all constituents.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications
  • Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 1-2 years of customer service experience in a luxury service environment and/or food and beverage related hospitality industry.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the aptitude to learn customized company software programs.
  • Candidate should work well in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work productively, independently or within a team.
  • Excellent oral/written communication and problem resolution skills are required.
  • Successful candidate will maintain a high level of professionalism while multi-tasking various real time customer and catering services transaction demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal/written, and presentation skills are necessary.
  • Flexjet is a 365/24/7 operation and candidate must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
