Job description

Nurse Practitioner Position at Tru Medical Management

Tru Medical Management in New York City is an award-winning adult primary care practice. Board-certified physicians provide comprehensive care delivered with respect and compassion. In everything the practice does, patient health and satisfaction are the priority. Tru Medical Management is unlike a typical doctor's office. The practice's staff aims to reinvent primary care by providing a superior patient-centered experience delivered with honesty, empathy, and professionalism.

The physicians at Tru Medical Management are the people behind the white coats, but most importantly, the ones behind the beautiful vision of building a brighter health care model for all. Primary care services Tru Medical Management offers include sick visits, laboratory services, physical exams, STD (sexually transmitted disease) testing, and diagnostic ultrasounds. The practice's chronic care management program supports people with long-term conditions like hypertension (high blood pressure) and diabetes. Preventive medicine services available at Tru Medical Management include cancer screening, smoking cessation, and weight loss. Specialized services include heart health and cardiology, podiatry, gastroenterology, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. Patients at Tru Medical Management benefit from transparent pricing and don't have to pay membership fees. The practice also welcomes most insurance. Consultations are available in person or via telemedicine, with a walk-in clinic for urgent care. Thanks to the practice's vision and exceptional patient care, Tru Medical Management has achieved New York State Patient-Centered Medical Home (NYS PCMH) accreditation and has been an Insurance Quality award winner for multiple years. The team members aim to give back to the community and build long-lasting patient partnerships. Tru Medical Management is becoming one of the city's top providers through clinical expertise, efficiency, and compassionate service to its patients.

The role involves performing history and physical examinations, documenting visits in electronic medical record in a timely manner, educating patients on their health conditions in a way they can understand, following up with patients more frequently for effective condition management, utilizing your support team to complete standing orders, ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments, developing treatment plans, prescribing drugs and other therapies as needed, making referrals as necessary, consulting with supervising medical provider when appropriate, maintaining patient confidentiality, participating in meetings, working collaboratively with other members of the medical team, collaborating with the management team on quality improvement initiatives, and having an open mind to feedback, different perspectives, reflection, and growth.

Candidates must have completed an accredited NP/PA program and be registered by the NYS Department of Education. Three years or more experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner or MD/DO is required. Experience working with a diverse and under-served patient population is a plus. Proven ability to work in a team environment is necessary. eClinicalWorks experience is a plus. Bilingual Spanish Speaker is required.

Our team and support includes highly knowledgeable and supportive staff with a diverse background including receptionists, Call Center Agents, Health Coaches, Medical Assistants, Practice Manager, Clinical Supervisor and HR. Providers for Primary Care, GYN, Cardio, GI and Podiatry are available. AI assisted patient charting and a dedicated Medical Assistant solely to assist you are provided.

Benefits provided to promote your well-being and health include a competitive compensation package, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, PTO, medical malpractice policy coverage, holiday pay, commuter benefits, 401K, HSA, full-time/part-time opportunities, bonus based on performance, and PTO pay out options.
