Import Logistics Manager Duties:
  • Manage international ocean, air, and ground freight shipments from overseas suppliers to customers throughout the United States.
  • Oversee U.S. Customs compliance, import documentation, HTS classifications, tariffs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with overseas factories, freight forwarders, customs brokers, NVOCCs, and domestic carriers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Negotiate freight rates and identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs and improve shipping efficiency.
  • Track shipments, resolve logistics issues, and develop processes that improve supply chain performance and operational efficiency.
 
Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with overseas partners in Asia as needed
  • Full time, onsite position in Issaquah
 
Pay:
  • $100,000-$120,000 per year DOE, depending on experience
 
Import Logistics Manager Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience managing imports from China, including end to end international freight coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, CBP compliance, HTS classifications, tariffs, and import documentation.
  • Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, NVOCCs, and domestic carriers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
