GLOBAL IMPORT MATERIAL PLANNER

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a driven Global Import Material Planner in Houston, TX. In this dynamic, high-impact role, you will be responsible for leading international supply chain operations, optimizing global inventory strategies, and collaborating cross-functionally with key global logistics partners. In our Global Import Material Planner job youll be responsible for:

  • Managing global import materials and finished goods end-to-end, from overseas planning through final customs clearance and delivery.

  • Proactively monitoring and mitigating global inventory risks, international shipment delays, customs holds, and supply chain bottlenecks.

  • Utilizing advanced SAP modules (MRP, purchasing, inventory management) to streamline global material workflows.

  • Partnering cross-functionally with international suppliers, customs brokers, ocean/air freight forwarders, customer service, and internal stakeholders.

  • Driving global process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

What youll need:

  • Proven experience in global import planning, international logistics, customs compliance, purchasing, and supply chain operations.

  • Advanced SAP experience in planning, purchasing, or MRP environments.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
