Job Summary

We are seeking a Global Import-Export Specialist to support and execute daily import and export compliance activities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the compliant, timely, and accurate movement of goods while partnering closely with customs brokers, supply chain teams, operations, and global trade leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Trade Operations & Broker Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customs brokers regarding daily operational and compliance matters.
  • Review import and export documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support HTS classification, Country of Origin determinations, and Free Trade Agreement documentation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of customs entries, export declarations, and FTZ-related shipments.
  • Conduct broker invoice audits and resolve discrepancies.
Compliance & Audit Support
  • Manage denied-party screening issues and coordinate system escalations.
  • Perform import and export entry audits including HTS, valuation, COO, and Incoterms.
  • Run and analyze reports from ACE, CBSA, SAT, and other customs portals.
  • Coordinate corrections with brokers and request Post Entry Amendments when required.
  • Support internal compliance reviews, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate in-bond movements and escalate higher-risk issues when needed.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain daily import and export documentation tracking across multiple countries.
  • Prepare compliance and operational KPIs for global trade leadership.
  • Assist with maintaining and improving trade compliance procedures and controls.
  • Support supplier performance tracking by transportation mode.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Trade Operations or Customs Compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of HTS classification and global trade regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in English (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements and preferential duty programs.
Preferred Requirements
  • International Trade, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or related Degree preferred.
  • Experience with trade compliance systems such as Prisma, IDM, PDM, and Oracle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and sound compliance judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The range for this position is $66,500.00 to $143,600.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant's experience and geographic location.
