Job description

This position requires on-site work and could be at one of our current four bakeries or at a yet to open fifth location all within the greater Charleston metro area. Current locations include Isle of Palms, Mount Pleasant, Clements Ferry, and Bees Ferry, with a fifth location slated for Folly Road.

As a General Manager, you will manage the day to day operations of the assigned location. You will be responsible for achieving KPIs and planned sales and profit goals through the implementation, management, and enforcement of company policies, procedures, best practices, programs, and performance standards.

In addition, you will directly supervise all employees, including hiring, training, coaching, and motivating your team to achieve set goals, and KPIs, including customer satisfaction feedback goals. You will also be in charge of inventory management, including purchasing, receiving, and the safe storing of the items needed to operate the business effectively. You will be accountable for all aspects of restaurant operations and administration, ensuring execution of all tasks and systems to guarantee maximum guest satisfaction, a consistent and safe work environment, and a profitable Profit and Loss statement. This position requires consistent demonstration of leadership and a strong attention to detail.

  • Manage the activities of the restaurant teams: This includes recruitment, hiring and retention practices, scheduling, and continuous training to increase the staffโ€™s productivity, and customer service skills
  • Effectively provide performance feedback through coaching and timely reviews
  • Encourage friendly internal competition
  • Ensure team members are focused on guest satisfaction
  • Think creatively and seize business opportunities within the local community
  • Engage with guests to create a personable and seamless experience
  • Use all service-related feedback to continually improve service levels, drive overall guest satisfaction, increase return visits, and reduce guest complaints

  • Observe ambiance and safety in the restaurants, i.e.: lighting, music, marketing displays and cleanliness of small wares; ensures floors are clean, dry, and free of debris throughout the shift and seating package is clean and in good condition
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the Corporate Support Team, Area Director, and other leadership team members to ensure customer satisfaction, safety, and profitability
