Job description

As the Senior Change Manager, you will partner with project leaders, senior advisors, project managers, and operational teams to turn project impacts into clear, practical actions. You will help coordinate readiness activities and support smooth transitions into day-to-day operations across strategic IT initiatives, including ERP implementations, digital workplace modernization, ServiceNow transformation, cybersecurity, process automation, AI adoption, and enterprise collaboration technologies.

Working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment, you will bring sound judgment, strong prioritization, and the ability to move work forward independently while staying aligned on key decisions, risks, and priorities.

You’ll Do:

As Senior Change Manager, you will lead change management and operational readiness activities across multiple concurrent projects, helping ensure successful implementation and minimizing operational disruption.

Change Planning & Delivery:

  • Lead change management and operational readiness activities aligned with project timelines and business priorities
  • Partner with project leaders, senior advisors, and project managers to align on priorities, risks, impacts, and implementation plans
  • Integrate change and readiness activities into project delivery plans and translate impacts into practical operational guidance
  • Support implementation stabilization during rollout and Hypercare periods
  • Develop and maintain West Fraser’s enterprise Organizational Change Management methodology, standards, templates, and governance processes
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in organizational change management, adoption, communications, and stakeholder engagement
  • Build change capability through coaching, training, and mentoring project managers and business leaders
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
  • Develop communication strategies for major technology and business transformation initiatives
  • Oversee training materials, job aids, user guides, and adoption resources
  • Ensure operational, service management, and support teams are prepared for process and technology changes and successful go-live events
  • Facilitate discussions that align stakeholders on impacts, expectations, dependencies, and readiness activities
  • Support leaders in communicating operational changes and reinforcing implementation expectations
  • Clarify roles, responsibilities, escalation paths, and operational impacts during implementation activities

Risk & Readiness Management:

  • Identify operational readiness risks, execution gaps, dependency conflicts, and adoption concerns early
    Surface risks with clear context, business impacts, and recommended actions
    Align with project leadership and senior advisors on escalation and mitigation for high-impact risks
  • Monitor implementation and readiness activities to identify where additional support or intervention may be needed
    Provide concise, insight-driven updates on operational impacts, risks, and implementation status

Multi-Project Ownership:

  • Independently manage change and readiness activities across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Prioritize work based on operational impact, implementation risk, timing, and cross-functional dependencies
  • Maintain visibility across projects to identify overlap, competing priorities, and resource constraints
  • Move work forward, remove barriers, and adjust priorities as delivery needs evolve
  • Support consistent implementation approaches, readiness practices, and communication standards across projects

You Have:

  • Proven ability to independently lead change management and readiness activities across multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong prioritization and judgment in high-volume environments with shifting priorities and operational dependencies
  • Ability to translate complex project changes into clear operational actions and practical guidance
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills across operational and leadership audiences
  • Ability to identify risks, dependencies, and execution gaps early and recommend practical actions
  • Experience supporting implementation, stabilization, and operational transition activities
  • Ability to maintain momentum and drive execution with limited direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including concise executive-level updates
  • Experience in structured governance, audit, or control-focused environments considered an asset
  • Experience supporting business, operational, or technology-enabled transformation initiatives considered an asset

Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Organizational Change Management, Business Transformation, Program Delivery, or a related discipline
  • Experience supporting ERP, digital transformation, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, or enterprise application implementations
  • Experience in manufacturing, forestry, industrial, or multi-site operating environments is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Prosci Change Management Certification
  • PMP Certification
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile certification
  • ITIL Foundation certification
