Job description

The Schuylkill Valley District has an anticipated vacancy for a Middle School Science Teacher (8th Grade) effective with the start of the 2026-27 school year.  This position is responsible for implementing the district's science instructional program with students and providing the students with appropriate instruction and a learning environment that will enable each student in the district to master the basic science skills outlined in the curriculum.  Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.  EOE.
Qualifications:

Appropriate PA science teaching certificate, ability to teach learners of varied abilities in the general education classroom, demonstrated evidence of increasing student achievement, understanding of PA state standards, experience with PBIS, demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others, and acceptable record of attendance required. Dual/multiple certifications preferred.
