In this role, you'll lead pavement marking and traffic safety projects from contract award through completion, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do
  • Manage multiple pavement marking and traffic safety projects from award through closeout.
  • Develop project schedules, manpower plans, and equipment allocations.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project budgets, production, labor, and equipment utilization.
  • Review contracts, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, inspectors, DOT representatives, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Manage project documentation, change orders, forecasts, and project closeout.
  • Identify and resolve project risks, schedule conflicts, and operational challenges.
  • Support Estimating by providing production feedback and assisting with project handoffs.
  • Travel to project sites throughout Virginia and the surrounding Mid-Atlantic region as needed.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of project management experience in pavement marking, traffic control, highway construction, roadway maintenance, or heavy civil construction.
  • Experience managing DOT and municipal construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of VDOT specifications and roadway construction practices preferred.
  • Ability to read construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with construction management software is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Pavement marking or traffic control operations
  • VDOT contracts and public works projects
  • Airport or parking lot marking projects
  • Change order management
  • Microsoft Project, Primavera, HeavyJob, HCSS, B2W, or similar construction software
