Construction Project Manager Construction Project Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead medium to large-scale building projects from preconstruction through closeout. The role is responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget, and to required quality and safety standards while managing client relationships and coordinating contractors, design teams, and internal stakeholders. Candidates with experience in hospital construction, commercial construction, and school construction are especially encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all phases of construction projects including preconstruction planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules and budgets; prepare forecasts and manage cost control and cash flow.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, architects, and engineers to ensure successful execution of work.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, healthcare-specific regulations (where applicable), ADA, OSHA, NFPA, and local authority having jurisdiction requirements.
  • Oversee quality control and site inspections; implement corrective actions and ensure work meets contract documents and specifications.
  • Manage contracts, prepare and negotiate change orders, process RFIs, submittals, and maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Implement and enforce site safety programs and promote a culture of safety among all project personnel.
  • Communicate regularly with owners, stakeholders, and internal team members; provide clear project updates, reports, and risk assessments.
  • Lead project closeout activities including punch lists, commissioning, turnover documentation, warranties, and final invoicing.
  • Mentor and supervise junior project staff and field teams; foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive construction project management experience; demonstrated track record managing commercial building projects. Experience with hospital and school construction strongly preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of construction methods, contracts, scheduling, estimating, and cost control.
  • Familiarity with healthcare construction requirements (e.g., infection control risk assessment, MEP coordination for clinical spaces) and school building standards is a plus.
  • Certifications such as PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or OSHA 30 desirable.
  • Proficient with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend), scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera) and proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with BIM/Revit is an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
