Job description

Description:

At CyberMaxx, we believe it is our duty to defend against those committed to wide-scale societal disruption through cyberattacks.

We help our customers reduce risk by tightly integrating MDR with offensive security, threat hunting, security research, and digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) to continually adapt to new and evolving threats. Our modern MDR (Managed Detection & Response) approach is tailored to the unique characteristics and risk factors of each customer, enabling us to take full ownership of the response process and, optionally, manage key security controls. By thinking like an adversary and defending like a guardian, we help our customers stay a step ahead of threat actors.

At CyberMaxx, we value humility, transparency, intellectual curiosity, and a customer first approach.

CyberMaxx is seeking an experienced Senior Implementation Project Manager to lead the end-to-end onboarding and deployment of our Managed Detection & Response (MDR) services for new customers. In this role, you will serve as the primary project leader guiding new customers from contract signature through full operational go-live, coordinating closely with Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, and the customer's own internal stakeholders. This is a highly visible role for a seasoned project management professional who thrives on structure, communicates with clarity and confidence, and is energized by the pace and complexity of cybersecurity implementations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Own and manage the full implementation lifecycle for new CyberMaxx customers, from kickoff through go-live and transition to steady-state operations.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource schedules; proactively identify risks, dependencies, and scope changes, and drive mitigation plans to keep implementations on track.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during onboarding, building trusted relationships with technical and executive stakeholders and setting clear expectations throughout the engagement.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Security Operations and Customer Success teams to ensure technical requirements, integrations, and data sources are properly scoped and deployed.
  • Lead and facilitate recurring project status meetings, steering committee updates, and executive business reviews, delivering clear, concise status reporting to internal leadership and customer stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple concurrent implementations simultaneously, prioritizing effectively across a portfolio of customer projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and standardize implementation methodology, tooling, and documentation, contributing to a scalable and repeatable onboarding process.
  • Track and report on key implementation metrics (e.g., time-to-value, milestone adherence, customer satisfaction) and escalate risks to leadership as needed.
  • Ensure a smooth, well-documented handoff from implementation to ongoing MDR operations and Customer Success teams.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of CyberMaxx's MDR platform, security services, and industry best practices to speak credibly with technical and business stakeholders alike.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Required:

  • 7+ years of project management experience, including significant experience leading technical implementations, onboarding, or professional services engagements.
  • Prior experience in cybersecurity, managed security services, SaaS, or another technical services environment strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex, concurrent projects with competing priorities and tight timelines.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated experience presenting to executive and technical audiences.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches) and standard PM tooling (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar).
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
  • A high degree of ownership, humility, and a customer-first mindset consistent with CyberMaxx's culture.

Preferred:

  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Familiarity with SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, or other core security technologies and integrations.
  • Experience working within a Managed Detection & Response (MDR), MSSP, or similar security operations environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Some Of What We Offer

  • Flexible Paid Time Off
  • 401k with a company match
  • Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage
  • Voluntary Short Term and Long-Term Disability
  • Employee Assistance Program with Mental Health Supplement
  • Voluntary Basic, Accidental, and other ancillary life insurance
  • Health Savings Account Contribution (with selection of a HDHP)
  • 10 annual, paid holidays
