Purpose

Serve as a consultant & liaison to implement strategy & to support operations, projects, programs & service delivery outcomes. Responsible for the planning, implementation, coordination & evaluation of programs & strategic initiatives. Works cooperatively with various organizational levels to understand business needs & the interrelationship of issues impacting the implementation & delivery of business operations & services. Provides knowledge & expertise in programs & workstreams.

Operation Expertise: Provides leadership, direction & oversight of programs &/or workstreams. Responsible for the development, implementation, & management of processes, policies & procedures. Ensures processes, policies & procedures are communicated, implemented & aligned. Serves as a technical resource of business operational services, issue resolution & implementation of recommended actions. Facilitates & develops processes & tools. Provides escalated support, guidance, & training to department members (remotely & on-site) to use new technologies & applications, as well as to improve knowledge of existing ones. Identify the organizational improvements needed, develop systems to implement those changes, & train the appropriate staff.

Project Management: Manages & implements small to medium-scale projects, programs & initiatives. Develops & manages aligned production, communications, service delivery plans & workflows to ensure plans are successfully implemented & services are delivered on time, on budget & to specifications. Conducts informational training sessions with groups of various sizes & backgrounds.

Data Management & Analysis: Research & compile information to support ad-hoc operational projects & initiatives. Synthesizes & analyzes data & provides detailed summaries including graphical data presentations illustrating trends & recommending practical options or solutions while considering the impact on business strategy & supporting leadership decision-making. Leverages program & operational data & measurements to define & demonstrate progress, ROI & impacts. Develops & monitors data analysis & reporting systems & communication tools.

Maintains a Working Knowledge of applicable federal, state & local laws / regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of Conduct, as well as other policies, procedures & guidelines in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical & professional behavior & safe work practices.

Functional Role (not inclusive of titles or advancement career progression)

Serves as a resource for leading initiatives that balance optimal clinical outcomes with appropriate product utilization & supply stewardship within assigned Ministry or Region. Develops collaborative Ministry Value Analysis programs aligned with the system Value Analysis organization that will foster accountability & enhance optimal supply spend in all Med/Surg product categories. Lead activities that increase contract compliance while reducing stock keeping units (SKU's), using a clinically driven standardization process within assigned Ministry and/or Region.

Supply Status: Researches & identifies functional product equivalents and/or other conservation methods for supply chain disruptions.

Value analysis: Provide support and/or oversight to stakeholder & service line teams to develop spend

management strategies in new product & technology reviews, utilization management & reduction of waste. Ensures there is a balance between service line profitability & clinical effectiveness. Responsible for leading value analysis process & governance, identifying & tracking savings opportunities & staying current with major developments & changes within the assigned commodities.

Capital Purchasing: Provides guidance on strategic capital when disposable patient care items are impacted

Strategic Sourcing: Responsible for compliance to applicable local, regional & System Office & GPO contracts as identified by Trinity Health Strategic Sourcing.

Vendor Management: Complies with Trinity Health Supplier Policy & related Procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related field or an equivalent combination of education & experience.

5+ years' experience in a health care related role with experience directly related to

supply chain, value analysis, clinical supply expense management, or sourcing.

Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of clinical products, Supply Chain management principles & practices as normally acquired through work experience.

Additional Qualifications (nice to have)

LPN, LVN or RN work experience

Professional clinical certification acquired through an accredited program
