Job description

CMMS Project Manager

Part Time

Pay Rate: $90/hour max (depending on experience)


Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation and rollout of a global Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) within a life sciences environment.

This individual will be responsible for driving the project plan, coordinating stakeholders, managing vendors, and ensuring the successful deployment of the Blue Mountain RAM platform. The initial implementation will focus on a site in Yokohama, Japan, with additional global site rollouts anticipated in the future.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned consultant who can quickly take ownership of an in-flight project, establish structure, and drive execution with minimal oversight.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the end-to-end implementation plan for a global CMMS deployment
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables
  • Coordinate activities across Engineering, IT, Quality, Operations, and external vendors
  • Lead project meetings, status reporting, stakeholder communications, and governance activities
  • Ensure project activities remain aligned with timelines and business objectives
  • Support system configuration, validation, testing, training, and deployment planning efforts
  • Partner with global site teams to prepare for onboarding and rollout activities
  • Manage relationships with software vendors and implementation partners
  • Track project risks, issues, and mitigation plans
  • Drive accountability across internal and external stakeholders
  • Support future multi-site global deployments following the initial implementation


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience leading enterprise software implementations
  • Experience managing projects within Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device, or other GMP-regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of Computer System Validation (CSV) and GMP requirements
  • Experience managing implementation projects from planning through deployment and stabilization
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups across business and technical teams
  • Experience coordinating third-party vendors and implementation partners
  • Strong project planning, scheduling, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a distributed global environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior CMMS implementation experience
  • Experience with Blue Mountain RAM
  • Experience supporting maintenance, engineering, asset management, or facilities systems
  • Experience leading global software deployments
  • Experience supporting sites in Asia, Europe, and North America
  • Japanese language skills are highly desirable but not required
