About the role
The Regional Vice President will grow and manage a territory comprised of Independent Marketing Organizations and IMO Channel. The successful candidate will recruit new relationships, manage relationships with current IMO executives, wholesalers and marketers and be responsible for overall growth in the identified accounts. The individual will be part of the sales team and will collaborate and partner with the Internal Wholesaler to achieve sales goals. The individual will work with and collaborate with peers who manage other territories, as well as sales support, underwriting and other home office staff at all levels of the company and across all functions.
What you'll do
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to
  • Recruit qualified and successful IMO's.
  • Motivate, educate, and support IMO's wholesalers and marketers to increase sales of Kuvare annuity and life products.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of newly appointed IMO's in partnership with other team members to get them to write Kuvare products.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process of newly recruited institutions and producers in partnership with IMO's and other company responsible parties (selling agreements, suitability, contracting, etc).
  • Work in partnership with Internal Wholesaler to determine and execute the most effective way to achieve sales goals.
  • Facilitate group meetings and webinars for IMO's and Financial Institutions to help increase awareness of and sales of GILCO products.
  • Build marketing plans with IMO partners leveraging input and participation from the sales team.
  • Maintain a productive territory through appointing IMO's and cancelling nonproducing IMO's.
  • Serve as liaison between company and IMO to resolve problems and promote positive working relationships.
  • Monitor IMO performance to recognize problems and recommend solutions.
  • Provide feedback on product, price, and services that IMO desires.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor products and the competitive advantages of Kuvare products to share with IMO wholesalers and marketers.
  • Interpret marketing and sales reports, incorporating reported results into new solutions and processes to improve territory performance.
  • Create annual business plan for territory including annual plans for each IMO within territory
  • Implement quarterly reviews with IMO's to go through business plan to make sure annual goals are achieved
  • Track activities and field interactions in company CRM.

Qualifications
Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree. Life and Health Insurance license.
  • 5+ years of experience in annuities sales and/or wholesaling.

Skills/Competencies
  • Strong organizational skills with elevated level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated persistency and ability to deliver results under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and proofreading skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Must be a flexible self-starter who can prioritize tasks, follow through and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Normal office working environment, full time with some flexibility
  • Occasional evening and weekend hours to meet deadlines
  • Occasional travel is required
