The Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) organization is currently hiring a Test Equipment (TE)  Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) for the Miniature Air-Launched Decoy (MALD) Program, Tucson, AZ location. ASDS IPTL roles provide an exciting and challenging environment, offering the opportunity to lead multi-disciplinary teams and deliver innovative solutions for our customers. In this role, you will apply the Systems V engineering life cycle and collaborate with engineering disciplines, Chief Engineers, Chief Technologists, and the customer to ensure the development and production of high-performing systems that meet the needs of our warfighters.

As the Test Equipment IPTL, you will focus on managing the development, integration and acceptance testing of new and revised TE.  The IPTL is responsible for managing both cost and schedule for the projects to ensure tasks stay within budget and meet program timing.  The IPTL will be responsible for proposal efforts and developing TE Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for MALD production and engineering test equipment.   While reporting to the program manager, cross collaboration with the program hardware and software development teams is essential.  You will play a key role in ensuring the successful transition of the TE from development to production, while maintaining technical and programmatic rigor.  Efforts include managing TE sustaining tasks, and staffing.  The IPTL shall proactively assess equipment and process for improvements, obsolescence replacement, and opportunities for optimization.

This is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do

  • Manage a multidiscipline team consisting of electrical, mechanical, software, and system engineers, and support personnel.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure knowledge transfer across IPTLs.

  •  Provide status and technical updates to program management, chief engineers, customers, and other key stakeholders.

  • Act as a Control Account Manager (CAM) for the test equipment, proactively monitoring and controlling cost and schedule to ensure compliance with program schedules, cost targets, and performance objectives.

  •  Drive timely execution of engineering scope to address design challenges and ensure alignment of priorities with the program and prime hardware/software team.

  • Mentor engineers and share program process knowledge to build team capabilities.

  • Manage priorities and workloads and the TE team and development projects.

  • Follow the test equipment development processes and procedures.

  • Ensure the Technical Data Package (TDP) is accurately reviewed and released in a timely manner.  The TDP includes models, drawings and other design documents.

  • Participate in proposal efforts, developing estimates, collaborating with program managers and chief engineers, and representing the test equipment team to the customer.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • Experience with Technical Data Package (TDP) management and development.

  • Experience coordinating across multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, systems, and test equipment).

  • Control Account Manager (CAM) certification.

  • Experience developing project plans and managing the cost and schedules against the plan.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Familiarity with missile defense programs.

  • Experience working in a production environment and collaborating with factory teams.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
