Job Description SummaryResponsible for project operations and programs support including standardization, quality management, document management, methods creation and maintenance, process improvement and tools for the project management function. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned IPS IPT control account budgets, independently valued at $100M+, using Earned Value Management (EVM) processes and techniques
  • Track and report daily and monthly cost and schedule performance indices (CPI, SPI) to proactively manage control account variances and drive corrective actions
  • Develop and manage complex Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
  • Identify and communicate schedule risks, constraints, and critical path activities to ensure timely delivery of sustainment products.
  • Work closely with the GE Aerospace Program Management Office to align and support their processes, priorities and standard work
  • Represent IPS IPTs at the Program Control Board (PCB) to identify and manage changes in scope, associated funding impacts, and required baseline adjustments
  • Provide clear, concise status updates and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders to support timely decision-making
  • Participate in required Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) to forecast resource needs
  • Coordinate resource planning actions to ensure on-time performance of scope and deliverables across IPS IPTs
  • Work cross-functionally within L&S and Edison Works engineering disciplines, including maintainability, reliability, supportability, and safety engineering, to align technical scope with program plans
  • Partner with IPS IPT leaders and other functions (e.g., Finance, Contracts, Product Operations) to ensure integrated execution of sustainment activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of4 years experience in project cost and schedule management)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in project cost and schedule management
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience using Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS) software tools such as Microsoft Project and Deltek Open Plan
  • Understanding of U.S. military operations and sustainment
  • Specific experience in one of the following areas:Finance, Contracting, Acquisition, or Logistics
  • Experience performing project or program management functions
  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance
  • Due to program security requirements, this role is primarily on-site with limited opportunity for remote work
  • This role is restricted to U.S. Citizens

Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Prior military experience as a maintenance officer or enlisted aircraft maintenance technician
  • Familiarity with turbine engine operation and demonstrated knowledge of logistics and sustainment processes for military turbine engines
