Parker Poe is seeking a Paralegal to work in our Raleigh office supporting the Health Care Litigation practice group.
Primary responsibilities include drafting correspondence, pleadings, and discovery documents; trial preparation including electronic presentations, coordinating witnesses, and managing trial exhibits; electronic filings; docketing court filing deadlines; assisting with document productions; and other tasks as needed. This role may support other practice groups, as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Five or more years of experience as a litigation Paralegal in a law firm or legal department and an Associate's degree, or the equivalent combination of experience and education. Paralegal Certificate preferred. Experience supporting one or more of the following practice group(s) required:
    • Litigation
    • Health Care
  • Proficiency in federal Electronic Filing
  • Experience with eDiscovery software; familiarity with Relativity preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience using a legal time and billing system
  • Experience with trial presentation software preferred
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Motivated, self-directed individual with ability to anticipate and resolve issues
  • Ability to prioritize work projects and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a team player, willing to help other team members during peak times
