Client is a boutique litigation firm in Washington, D.C., is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to join our collaborative team representing sophisticated clients in complex legal matters.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience, including familiarity with litigation and electronic filing, and strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
The Firm
Client is a Washington, D.C.-based boutique firm with a national practice focused on monetary claims against the federal government in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, including property and breach-of-contract claims.The firm also represents clients in environmental and natural resources litigation in federal district courts and courts of appeals. The Position
Qualifications
  • Paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of three years of law firm or litigation experience
  • Familiarity with Westlaw or similar legal research platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational, writing, communication, and proofreading skills
  • Experience with trial presentation or exhibit management software preferred

Responsibilities
  • Organize and manage case files during discovery and trial preparation
  • Draft legal correspondence, memoranda, and other documents
  • Review, cite-check, proofread, and file legal documents
  • Process and manage incoming legal filings and correspondence
  • Perform electronic filing in federal and state courts
  • Conduct basic legal research
  • Provide support for depositions, motion practice, and trial
  • Answer and direct incoming calls and assist with administrative tasks as needed
