Their Immigration Practice Group is highly regarded for handling high-value matters for diverse industries, particularly within the healthcare and technology sectors. The Role

We are seeking an ambitious Immigration Associate to join our client’s Labor, Employment, Benefits, & Immigration Section in Tampa. This is a high-impact role designed for an attorney who thrives on client contact and wants to manage a diverse, sophisticated caseload with a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of diverse immigration matters, including non-immigrant visas (H-1B, O-1, P-1, E-2, L-1A/B) and employment-based green card processes (NIW, EB-1, PERM).
  • Strategic Drafting: Prepare high-level legal documents, including support letters, RFE responses, NOIDs, and Audit responses.
  • Advocacy & Counsel: Represent clients in interviews and proceedings; provide accurate, research-backed advice on evolving immigration laws and I-9 compliance.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside shareholders and paralegals on complex, multi-layered immigration projects while contributing to the firm's broader business development and networking efforts.
  • Innovation: Contribute to case strategy by employing creative problem-solving skills for unique immigration challenges.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven track record in Employment-based immigration (temporary visas and permanent residence) is required.
  • Education: Strong academic credentials and exceptional legal research/writing skills.
  • Licensure: Admittance to the Florida Bar is preferred, but candidates licensed in other U.S. jurisdictions will be considered.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with immigration petitions within the healthcare industry is a significant plus.
  • Traits: Ability to take ownership of cases with limited supervision and a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
