Job description

Description The Solid Waste Operations Associate determines incoming waste composition, volumes, and weights to assess and collect appropriate fees and performs support functions required for the operation of the Yardwaste Recycling Center, and other Solid Waste Facilities as required. This position will also serve in an important customer service role with our community members. Want to check out our benefits.

Click here. Qualifications and Requirements Experience, Education, and Training One year of experience in scale operation; OR General record keeping work experience with an emphasis on public contact. PREFERRED Customer service experience and computer skills.

Some experience in the operation of over-the-road trucks and /or equipment operation. Licensing/Certification Must obtain and maintain a Class "B" Commercial Driver's License and any appropriate endorsements within the following guidelines: pass written portion of the CDL within 90 days of employment and pass the skills portion within the probationary period; Must possess or obtain and maintain Missouri Department of Natural Resources Certified Landfill Technician within the first year of employment and maintain throughout appointment.
