Job description

About Us
Who We Are
Left Field Labs is the creative technology agency that builds what's next. We partner with the world's most ambitious brands to transform breakthrough technology into extraordinary human experiences. Since 2008, we've delivered end-to-end digital transformation services-from strategy to platform development to immersive experiences-for the biggest companies in the world, including Google, Amazon, and Meta.
What We Do
  • Digital Experiences: We architect seamless digital ecosystems that simplify complexity and drive measurable impact. Whether launching new platforms or evolving legacy systems, we strike the perfect balance between innovation and pragmatism
  • Product Innovation: We build scalable platforms and products in lockstep with organizations, identifying and seizing new technology opportunities.
  • Creative Technology Driven Experiences: We create immersive, cross-media experiences that move beyond omnichannel thinking, blending digital, social, AI, and physical spaces to engage and delight.
  • Applied AI: We transform AI from a tech tool to the infrastructure for business evolution-enhancing decision-making, unlocking new efficiencies, and expanding human capacity Our AI solutions power predictive intelligence, sharper decision-making, and game-changing innovation.

Overview
As the Director of Growth, you will be the driving force behind Left Field Labs' revenue generation and pipeline strategy. This is a high-impact, hybrid role requiring equal parts visionary sales strategy, hands-on execution, and leadership. You will architect and execute a holistic business development playbook to secure high-value enterprise projects, ensuring consistent growth across all four of LFL's core business pillars: Digital Experiences, Product Innovation, Creative Technology, and Applied AI.
This is a services and solutions sales role. Candidates whose primary background is in SaaS (Software-as-a-Service), digital media buying, programmatic advertising, or traditional PR placement will not be a fit for this position. We do not sell licenses or ad space; we build what's next.
Sales Strategy & Pipeline Management
  • Design, implement, and optimize a comprehensive, repeatable outbound and inbound sales strategy tailored to Fortune 500 and enterprise-level brands
  • Manage the entire business development lifecycle-from initial prospecting and qualifying leads to pitching, negotiating, and closing deals
  • Identify and actively pursue high-value target accounts, decision-makers, and innovators at the intersection of technology and human experience
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Pitch Leadership
  • Partner closely with LFL's core business units (Applied AI, Product, Experiential, etc.) to understand their unique capabilities and strategically align them with client challenges
  • Lead cross-functional teams (including strategists, creatives, and technical architects) to craft winning, bespoke RFPs, presentations, and project proposals that demonstrate a deep understanding of the client's business goals
  • Collaborate with delivery and production teams to accurately scope, price, and structure complex, multi-million-dollar digital transformation engagements
Relationship Management & Market Insights
  • Build, maintain, and deepen trusted relationships with senior executives (CMOs, CTOs, VPs of Innovation) across target organizations
  • Stay ahead of macroeconomic trends, emerging technology landscapes (specifically Applied AI and spatial computing), and competitor positioning to identify untapped market opportunities for LFL

Required Skills
The ideal candidate is a consultative hunter who understands that selling creative technology is about solving complex business problems, not pushing off-the-shelf software. You possess the rare ability to translate cutting-edge, abstract technological concepts into tangible, ROI-driven business solutions for clients.
Experience & Track Record
  • A consistent, verifiable track record of personally originating and closing $2M-$3M+ in annual revenue within the enterprise sector
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of business development experience specifically within a Digital Agency, Creative Technology Agency, or Digital Product Consulting environment
  • Deep expertise selling bespoke digital transformation, custom product/platform builds, immersive physical/digital experiences, and emerging tech solutions
Strategic & Technical Acumen
  • A strong, organic passion for and understanding of emerging tech. You should be comfortable discussing the business applications of Applied AI, predictive intelligence, and immersive/cross-media ecosystems without relying on a sales script
  • Exceptional business acumen with a proven ability to navigate complex organizational structures, procurement processes, and legal hurdles within massive global brands.
Communication & Soft Skills
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills. You can command a room and articulate complex technical capabilities as elegant, human-centric solutions
  • An empathetic listener who acts as a strategic partner to prospects, uncovering hidden friction points and co-creating value before a contract is even signed
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, fluid environment and can rapidly adapt strategies to match shifting market demands and technology lifecycles

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $150,000-$170,000. In addition to the base salary, this role will receive a sales commission plan and all benefits described below.
This base salary range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Culver City, California. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Equal Opportunities
Left Field Labs is an equal opportunity employer and committed to providing equal employment opportunity to all applicants and team members regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, handicap, veteran status, marital status, criminal history, or any other category protected by applicable federal and state law, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance relating to an applicant's criminal history (LAMC 189.00). Left Field Labs makes reasonable accommodations for handicapped and disabled team members.
Left Field Labs is an E-Verify employer. E-Verify is an Internet based system operated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in partnership with the Social Security Administration (SSA) that allows participating employers to electronically verify the employment eligibility of their newly hired employees in the United States.
