Are you looking to start a career with the City of St. Paul? Our Public Works Sewer Utility Division is seeking Sewer Services Workers to join our team. As a Sewer Services Worker, you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks to help maintain our city's sanitary and storm sewers. There are certified vacancies requiring a Class A CDL and temporary vacancies requiring a Class B CDL. Please note: The Sewer Utility Division will be holding interviews bi-weekly throughout the course of the posting to fill immediate vacancies. Here's what you can expect to do:

  • Work in confined spaces to include sewer pipes, manholes, tunnels, and pumping stations, etc.
  • Work in and around sewage.
  • Perform manual labor in constructing, locating, inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and cleaning sewer infrastructure.
  • Drive vehicles, operate, and maintain general construction and specialized equipment.
