We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our dynamic School Mental Health Team at Gotham Enterprises Ltd. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, considering their unique backgrounds and presenting issues. Use clinical judgment to evaluate their immediate and long-term mental health needs.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with students, focusing on therapeutic interventions and strategies to promote emotional health, resilience, and school integration.

  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care, tailored to the specific mental health challenges faced by students.

  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at building coping skills and emotional regulation, encouraging open communication in a supportive setting.

  • Work closely with fellow mental health professionals such as psychiatrists and psychologists to ensure comprehensive care and referral for further treatment when necessary, maintaining a holistic approach to mental health.

  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during acute mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation strategies and fostering a sense of safety for students.

  • Educate students and their families on mental health issues, coping strategies, and community resources to support long-term well-being.

  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with ethical and legal best practices.

  • Engage in regular multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to review student progress and inform ongoing treatment strategies.

  • Keep abreast of current trends, laws, and ethical guidelines related to school mental health to ensure compliance and best practices in service delivery.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

  • You must possess a valid and current LICSW licensure in the state of Vermont.

  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health, preferably within educational settings, is essential.

  • A deep understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care is expected.

  • Experience with conducting thorough mental health assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning is crucial.
