With a legacy spanning several decades, they have consistently delivered iconic, innovative, and sustainable designs that transcend conventional boundaries. Their diverse portfolio encompasses projects ranging from airports and civic buildings to cultural landmarks, each characterized by a unique blend of functionality and aesthetics. Position Overview
The Project Manager will be leading projects and managing the design team's roles, responsibilities, and processes, delivering success and exceeding client expectations. They will be the primary decision maker, administrator, and interpreter of all aspects of the project for the fulfillment of contractual obligations. The successful candidate will ensures the design intent, and the quality of that design, are fully communicated and coordinated. The immediate project need is aviation, courthouses, and convention center projects. Other active projects in the office include museums, embassies, government, military, and corporate projects.
Responsibilities
  • Review and understand contractual language and accurately apply it to scope, deliverables, deadlines, coordination, risk, invoicing, and collections.
  • Lead project meetings internally and externally, ensuring required actions are communicated and taken and an appropriate documentation level is maintained.
  • Incorporate client preferences and expectations in design, process, and management.
  • Track and escalate contractual and financial risk concerns; execute additional service requests before performing related work.
  • Present design and technical solutions in collaboration with the larger design team.
  • Manage personnel, including internal and consultant resources.
  • Support communication between clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials.
  • Report and provide recommendations to drive performance and profitability.
  • Develop and actively maintain project budgets and resource plans.
  • Approve labor, expenses, consultant invoices, and completion percentages to ensure accurate invoicing within contractual requirements, billing cycles, and deadlines.
  • Understand and review contractor submittals. Evaluate and respond to RFIs, change orders, and requests for substitution.
  • Conduct site and fieldwork, including field-measured documentation, existing facility inventory, and site investigation.
  • Read, interpret, and organize a set of drawings and drawing sheets, including the knowledge and ability to implement layer strategies and use keynotes.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and support collection efforts.
  • Direct commencement efforts when projects begin and close-outs when projects end.
  • Be a mentor, oversee the quality of work produced, and elevate each team member's professional progress.

Requirements
  • 10-20+ years of architectural work experience, preferably with large, complex public projects.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Licensed architect required.
  • Aviation, courthouses, and/or convention center project experience required.
  • Knowledge of standard contract terms and structure.
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to produce consistent high-quality results.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; builds professional relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • High level of standards and professionalism.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and facility construction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite, and Bluebeam Revu; knowledge in Revit.
