What does an imaging tech assistant do?

An Imaging Tech Assistant supports radiologic technologists and other medical imaging professionals by preparing patients, maintaining equipment, and assisting during imaging procedures like X-rays or MRIs. They help ensure patient comfort and safety, manage paperwork, and keep imaging areas clean and organized. Their work is essential for smooth workflow in diagnostic imaging departments and for producing high-quality medical images.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an imaging tech assistant?

To thrive as an Imaging Tech Assistant, you need a foundational knowledge of medical imaging procedures, basic patient care, and a high school diploma or equivalent, often with additional on-the-job training.
